Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5-7, we know as The Sermon on the Mount…but it is so much more than just a collection of wisdom and challenge and instruction from Jesus. It is at the heart of it, an invitation from Jesus to consider that there is another way, that there is a better way. To be open to the possibility of a new way is to acknowledge that our old way of thinking and operating and prioritizing, just isn’t enough…the call to turn and walk in a new way is not a threat, rather it is an invitation!
As we journey through these 6 weeks considering some of what Jesus lifts up for us in this teaching, may you hear the invitation to walk more deeply in connection with the One Who makes a new way possible.
