Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5-7, we know as The Sermon on the Mount…but it is so much more than just a collection of wisdom and challenge and instruction from Jesus. It is at the heart of it, an invitation from Jesus to consider that there is another way, that there is a better way. To be open to the possibility of a new way is to acknowledge that our old way of thinking and operating and prioritizing, just isn’t enough…the call to turn and walk in a new way is not a threat, rather it is an invitation!
As we journey through these 13 weeks considering some of what Jesus lifts up for us in this teaching, may you hear the invitation to walk more deeply in connection with the One Who makes a new way possible.
