Edwin Orr observes, “no great spiritual awakening has begun anywhere in the world apart from united prayer—Christians persistently praying for revival.” Similarly, Matthew Henry suggested that when God wants to do something special in the world, he first gets his people to start praying.
Continuing in our year-long series in prayer, we are going to spend the summer months looking at Luke’s book of Acts and discover the prayer life of the early church. What did they pray? When did they pray? How did they pray? And what did God do as a result…?
